My name is Lester O. I am amember of the Pacific Cascade Region and curently Archivist for the Region. To the best of my knowledge Our Region broke away from the Pacific Northwest Region in 1985 and became the Oregon Southern Idaho Region. I arrived in NA in July 1986, and NA was well established in Portland, OR. by then and I was immediately able to jump into Service work. Also at that time we had a Central Service Office that sold Literature to the Felowship. More on this later. Also , to the best of my knowledge the 1st NA meeting in Portland was The Victory Group which started I think in 1977 . More on this lateras I am not sure okf the date at this time but will be talking to someone who knows soon.
